2013-2014 Volunteer Coordinator
Terry Zhang was first introduced to Chess in the Library in June 2012. He has volunteered at several branches over the past year and now currently holds the position of Volunteer Coordinator. His job consists of recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, as well as managing CITL-organized tournaments. Terry has been playing recreational chess for five years and currently hopes to play an active role in the expansion of Chess in the Library organization across Canada this year.
Outside of chess, Terry’s interests include playing piano, snowboarding, reading theories on Wikipedia, and participating in a variety of sports such as ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and football. His strong interest in the field of business and innovation has led to the cultivation of several potential business ideas which he may pursue this year. Currently, Terry is looking for new and innovative strategies to promote and increase sustainability and environmental management strategies.
