2014-2015 Vice President
Jeffrey Li joined Chess in the Library as a volunteer in 2012. After helping out at the Bridlewood branch for a year, he served as Junior Vice President for another year before successfully running for Vice President.
He isn’t exactly the best chess player on the block, but he was on his elementary school chess team from grade 7 to grade 8. During that time, he experienced how chess had the potential to bring people together and create lasting friendships. Although he doesn’t play competitively anymore, he still shows up from time to time at Bridlewood to join in the fun!
Jeffrey is currently a grade 11 student in the IB program at Bayview Secondary School. Outside of chess, he is an avid debater. When not reading to arm his mind for future debate tournaments, he can be found playing video games or doing the mountains of homework he gets from school.
