Junior Executive Application

Every year we look for volunteers to fill the positions for junior executives for Chess in the Library. These people work closely with current executives as they learn how to run the program.

For the year 2015-2016, there are five open positions:

– Junior executive president

– Junior executive vice-president

– Junior executive treasurer

– Junior executive volunteer coordinator

– Junior executive arts/webmaster

For each position, you will work with the corresponding member on the current board and you will gain valuable experience in the respective role. For example, you will develop logistics and planning skills working with the volunteer coordinator. If you work with the webmaster, you will learn about CSS, HTML, and other web design skills.

To learn more about each role, read the corresponding executive profiles here.

For those who are interested in applying, please fill out the form below by 11:59 P.M. on Sunday, August 16, 2015. We will contact you and schedule an interview set tentatively on Saturday, August 22, 2015.

For the interview, please bring a copy of your resumé listing your past volunteering experiences and other related activities. For those applying who are not current volunteers, please be advised that you will need to undergo a police reference check to join CITL.
